Where do I begin

I am a humble real estate agent, have been trying to avoid all this technology, yet find myself being thrust into the midst of a technology advancement battle. I try to keep on top of it. But It is not easyt for someone who, upon graduation from University (Bath University in England) had barely used a computer.

When I started in this challenging industry, we cut and pasted flyers, kept our contacts in a shoe box. Had a key for all area homes for sale.
10 years ago I got my first web site, had a 14 hega bits modem.
5 years ago we started going to web based applications. could print contracts out, email clients a potential home.

Who would have thought we have come so far so quickly- actually I am not sure I know how far we have come.
Everyone has a web presence, and is competing for the holy grail of #1 spot on the search engines. So we are pushed to stay ahead. Now I am being plunged into the depths of the blogosphere.

What else can we do?
We have incredible contact and scheduling software. It keeps me on time and really reliable. Tells my what needs to be done when, letters sent, calls made, emails sent, ads submitted.
From my computer I can findout what is on the market and schedule showings on-line.
I have Virtual tours to showcase my featured properties.

Yet I have so far to go. And as I progress, I find myself with so much more to go.
I still haven't gone for the PDA or Blackberry, Blue tooth ear peice, to give me total connectivity. Dragging my feet on that one!!

Anyway, how am I doing. What yould you like to hear about from a busy professional?
