Dane County announces a loan program to assist homeowners who are underwater or unable to pay. This is a federal program called the EHLP, Emergency Homeowner Loan Program . It is designed to help prevent foreclosure.
It is a no interest loan of up to $50,000 to eligible homeowners at imminent risk of foreclosure.
Applicants should call Green Path at (888) 893 2711 to state the application. There is a tight deadline of July 22nd. So do it NOW.
It is anticipated there will be more applications than funds so a lottery will select the lucky recipients.
