The latest news and indications from the real estate trenches is that things have picked up tremendously. I have seen the activity in our office, and in talking to practitioners outside. Most have the agreement that things are better.
Is this just hope?
There is something to be said that the new year brings new hope and we could all be hoping that it is better. It could actually be better because of our unseasonable weather. I was walking tonight and it was 49 degrees.
I don't think that is all.
Since Christmas week, there has been activity. I personally have seen more business than the previous 3 months. Likewise with 4 or 5 of my colleagues.
In fact I am extremely excited. The phone has been ringing with good prospects. My phone calls have been well received and resulted in appointments. All our hard work for the last 3 months is paying off.
Interest rates at around 6% and the press admitting either they were wrong about the bubble or reporting that the bottom has been reached. Buyers and sellers alike are ready to start again.
